To conduct a Torsional Vibration Study we need: (Download a PDF version)

• Performance Runs covering the whole range of operating conditions
     • For Ariel compressors, please supply the .RUN file
• For Dresser compressors please supply the DR-Size file

• Pre-selected coupling size if available

For Engine Drives:

• Mass-Elastic data (Waukesha Engines have data specific to the serial number)
• Engine Fourier forcing data
• Shaft drawing
• Shaft material specs (Su, Sy)
• Viscous damper details if applicable
• Flywheel details if applicable

For Motor Drives:

• Mass-Elastic data (rotor inertia and shaft stiffness)
• Torque vs Speed curves (inc. startup)
• Shaft drawing
• Shaft material specs (Su, Sy)

Screw Compressor:

• Rotor inertia WR2
• Rotor shaft stiffness
• Drive stub drawing (if available) – detail of keyway
• Shaft material properties (Su and Sy) or allowable mean and vibratory torque
